Guardian ad Litem (GAL) provides support and advocacy for the abused, neglected and abandoned children of Hillsborough County, Florida.  As trained advocates, GAL volunteers are appointed by judges to be a voice for children in court.  GAL volunteers represent the best interest of these children, monitoring their well-being and serving as trusted advisors in the courts.  GAL makes sure the abuse and neglect these children suffered at home doesn't continue as abuse and neglect at the hands of the system.

Centre for Women/Centre for Girls

Tampa's Centre for women provides hope, knowledge and peace of mind through services that promote independence and strengthen the community.  Its Centre for Girls is a warm, safe, homelike place for pre-teen and teen girls.  Here, the girls participate in psychoeducational groups, activities promoting responsible decision making and healthy lifestyles, community service projects and family fun nights.
